CATSKILL — Eddie Rogers drilled an RBI double over the center fielder’s head to score Carter Van Etten with the winning run as Catskil edged Greenville, 5-4, in Tuesday’s Patroon Conference baseball game at Ricky Cramer Field.

With the score tied 4-4 and one out in the bottom of the seventh, Van Etten drew a walk and Rogers followed with his clutch hit to give the Cats their first victory of the season.

Rogers finished with a perfect 4 for 4 day at the plate, with a pair of doubles and for RBI. Adam Carlson added two doubles and an RBI, Nate Timot-Shook doubled and singled, Emius McCann had a double and Aiden Leipman singled and drove in a run.

Joe Domermuth collectd three singles and three RBI for Greenville (1-1). Jack Motta chipped in with two singles and Eli Larson, Jake Miller and Trey Smith each had a single.

Cullen fulling started and pitched 3 2/3 innings for the Cats (1-1), striking out five, walking five and allowing four runs and six hits. Cody Young worked the final 3 1/3 frames, striking out four and allowing just two hits.

Larson and Smith combined for eight strikeouts and two walks while allowing five runs and 10 hits.

Catskill hosts Maple Hill on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and Greenville visits Taconic Hills on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Chatham 8, Coxsackie-Athens 7

COXSACKIE — Matt Thorsen hammered a two-run homer with two outs in the top of the seventh inning and Chatham went on to defeat Coxsackie-Athens, 8-7, on Tuesday.

Chatham trailed 7-6 entering the seventh, but Vinny Marasco reached on an error and Thorsen delivered his clutch jack.

Tate Van Alstyne had a home run, two singles and an RBI for the Panthers. Michael Pierro doubled and Jameson Balich, Cam Horton, Jacob Rippel and Tyler kKneller all singled. Kneller had two RBI and Pierro, Rippel and Ryan Graziano one RBI apiece.

Josh Kiefer blasted a grand slam for C-A. Michael O’Connor had a single and two RBI.

Pierro and Kneller combined to strike out 10, walk 11 and allow seven runs and four hits for Chatham.

Dillon Hynes, Brady Penet and Patrick McManus teamed up to strike out eight, walk six and allow eight runs and nine hits.

Chatham goes to Cairo-Durham on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and Coxsackie-Athens hosts Cairo-Durham on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
